Not Going Out[]
Dutton appeared in the BBC sitcom Not Going Out in 2006 as the supervisor of the apartment block where Lee (Lee Mack) and Kate (Megan Dodds) lived. Lee got the job as the caretaker of the block in the episode of the same name, and became the subordinate of Hood's character.

Hood's most notable role came in the sitcom Dinnerladies, where he played Norman.
