Gay is the second episode of the Series 2 of Not Going Out and originally aired on 14 September, 2007.

SynopsisEdit

Tim is worried that he isn't manly enough. Lee is persuaded by Lucy to pretend to be gay in order for her to get closer to a new business acquaintance. Lee discovers there's something in it for him, but doesn't find it easy to keep his blokeish insticts hidden.

PlotEdit

Lucy meets Guy at a conference, attracted to him she invites him to dinner. She is then informed that he is gay by Julia and to cover up an embarrassing comment she tells him that her flatmate, Lee is gay. She convinces Lee to pretend he is homosexual to hide her lie. Guy doesn't believe Lee is actually gay and takes him to a gay bar. Tim sees Lee and confronts him about it, Lee tells him he isn't gay, which Guy overhears. Lucy explains the situation and finds out that Guy is also not gay and the two decide to start dating.
