Lucy was publishing her autobiography, Happy Days, through Kate's publishing company that covered her struggles through life. She was abused by her parents when she was a child and later became a prostitute when she was a teenager. She took up drinking, but give it up when she became pregnant. She did not go through with it and had an abortion. Her traumatic life resulted in her self-harming.
To entertain her the publishing company, through Kate, set her up on a date with Lee. She went on a second date with Lee to a exhibition of War Victims through the Lens. She went on a third date with Lee and after that they stopped seeing each other, which Lucy appreciated as she felt that Lee was "getting too serious".
